Ethnic migrant media and the New NZ MP

A few years ago Jacinda Arden, then a Labour MP and just freshly announced new Prime minister of NZ, attended the Ethnic media forum I had co-organised with my colleague Dr Kolesova at Unitec (seen here in this photo taken from the day).

She was the only Auckland MP we had invited that saw the importance of attending an ethnic media forum.

She sat at the back, listened carefully to what everyone said and then she spoke about the need to have not only healthy and diverse ethnic media but also a strong public service broadcaster that will serve all New Zealanders and where ethnic minorities can be equally represented.
